Welcome to Libretti Writ Large, a site meant to glorify the libretto and
reveal samples of my own work within this highly overlooked genre (shows for
both adults and children). Also featured is a monthly review of a
musical (selected at random) meant to inspire investigation into the
creative offerings of librettists both past and present. For questions
about the genre, renting my original musicals, or requesting my services as
composer, lyricist, or librettist, please contact me at this e-address:

Read on, my friend. Read on.

A NOTE ABOUT LYRICS
The lyrics shared within this site are rendered according to the following
dramatic conventions: Lyrics from musical comedies, musical dramas,
or operettas are rendered in all-caps while the aria lyrics and recitative
from operas are rendered as would be any standard verse form.
MIND THE VOLUME
Music files on this site play best when volume controls are set between
thirty-five and forty-five percent. Raise the gain at your own risk.
The few files requiring optimal gain are labeled as such. You have
been warned . . .
COPYRIGHT AND PETER PAN
In light of recent events in copyright law concerning Sir James Barrie's
Peter Pan, it is needful to explain that the production cited by
this site was performed in the spirit of charity and children's theatrical
awareness. In no way was it designed to pick the pocket of the
Hospital for Sick Children as the show was believed to have been operating
within the boundaries of public domain in the United States at the time of
its creation, and all inquiries made to the Library of Congress ceded the
same. For further information concerning this matter (particularly
if you have been recently involved in small-cast or low-scale original
adaptations of the show and have not been aware of the copyright issue),
please contact
Samuel French, Inc. care of the office of Charles R. Van Nostrand.
